This Ministry has indelibly affected the Lives of an Innumerous Multitude of People!!!
For 25 years, Pastor Curtis Farrar has maintained a spiritual stronghold along the hotly contested front lines of South Minneapolis. Only GOD knows to what extent this “Outreach for Christ” has fulfilled its bold claim of “Worldwide.”
It all began outside of Dallas, Texas, where Curtis Farrar was born. His mother, Darlene Farrar, attended a church meeting in which GOD had given her a word that one of her sons would be a great man of GOD. At this time she had not conceived a child. Out of Darlene’s (9) nine children, Curtis at age 19 decided to go north. With five dollars in his pocket and no place to stay, he arrived in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the tender age of 21, he spent the next 10 years doing those things that led up to the events of his testimony book that we are all familiar with “I WAS SO TIRED.” - God delivering him with a mighty hand.
Following this deliverance and miraculous healing, Curtis followed the powerful ministry of Prophet David Terrell to Fort Payne, Alabama. After a run-in with local racists, he told GOD that he would give HIM one more chance to do something. At a tent meeting in Fort Worth, Texas Prophet David Terrell pointed at Curtis Farrar and said GOD is going to do something for you.
Curtis continued to travel with Prophet David Terrell for 7 years before returning to Minneapolis, Minnesota where GOD began to build his ministry. While in Minneapolis, Curtis met a woman by the name of Wynetta Lewis at a church meeting in which he was leading song service. At a later date, Wynetta invited Curtis on a visit with her to the psych-ward at a local hospital. He ministered to a lady there and told her she would be released from the hospital at a certain date. Weeks later, Curtis received a phone call from Wynetta. She said “the lady you ministered to is at my house and guess what day it is?” (it was the day he told her she would be released). Curtis went over to Wynetta’s house and the three of them talked about Jesus and the Spirit moved in such away that the ladies said, “let’s do this again next week and bring others” and others kept coming. (This is how Worldwide Outreach for Christ was born).
At this time God confirmed Curtis’ ministry with two identical visions. In the vision Curtis drove a pick-up truck to an old farm filled with many animal pens. He got out of the truck and walked towards the pens. Suddenly the pens were filled with every kind of animal imaginable. The gate to the pens suddenly opened and the animals rushed toward him. He ran to the truck and slammed the door. When he looked out the truck window he saw a sheep gaze up and call unto him “Baa, Baa.”, suddenly all the animals turned into sheep
everywhere as far as the eye could see. A few days later God repeated the vision, and spoke to Curtis the same words Joseph spoke to Pharaoh. “This dream was repeated twice because it is established by God and he will shortly bring it to pass.” (This is how Pastor Curtis knew without a doubt that he was indeed a Pastor. God lead him into the divine will of God.)
The flock out grew Bill & Wynetta Lewis’ home on Blaisdell Avenue. So the church moved to a storefront at 3649 Chicago Avenue South. In the following years the Spirit of GOD swept through the building on a nightly basis, God confirming his word with signs, wonders and miracles. And the people kept coming. After 3 years Pastor Curtis’ flock was too large for the storefront, so we moved to our present home at 3808 Chicago Avenue South, and here is where Worldwide has resided for the past eighteen years.
Pastor Curtis and First Lady Pamela have been leading the flock of Worldwide Outreach for Christ together for the past eight years. Continuing to lift up the name of Jesus!!
